Lavender Farm Visit in Utah

Happy Monday, friends!

*Reminder! The Monthly Favorites Link-Up is this Wednesday!  Get your posts ready!

At the beginning of June, I went to Salt Lake City, Utah for work and got to stay an extra day so that I could visit the Young Living Lavender Farm in Mona, Utah!  I was pretty pumped to see where

Young Living grows it's Lavender.  The farm used to be a regular farm that Dr. Gary Young purchased and started using it to grow herbs.  There are still a ton of horses on the farm and it's beautiful!  It's tucked in between the Utah mountains in the middle of nowhere.

Warning...there might be a bunch of selfies since I was by myself!

Ningxia Red slushy!

I had a blast chatting with the staff and drinking my Ningxia Red slushies!  I'd like to go back and do a tour during a weekday.

Have a great week, friends!  XOXOXO

Loving | Eating | Watching | Wearing

I recently learned about Shay, Sheaffer and Mel's What's Up Wednesday link-up and thought it looked like a lot of fun so I'm joining this month!  I'm a day late, but better late than never right?!

What we're eating...

So I normally do smoothies for breakfast (like THIS ONE), but I've needed a change lately.  After seeing Jaelan's post about the 3 Minute Simple Healthy Breakfast, I was reminded just how much I love yogurt, granola and fruit!  I do the So Delicious Cultured Coconut Milk YogurtOrganic Pumpkin Flax Granola 11.5 oz Pkg and fresh blueberries and strawberries.  It's delicious!

What I'm reminiscing about...

Dancing with Grandpa Bill at our wedding and missing him.

What I'm loving...

My freaking adorable husband snuggling with my little baby, Luci.  My heart melts.

What we've been up to...

Went to visit my grandparents last weekend!  I thought we would more often now that we live closer but we really haven't so it was nice to see them.

What I'm dreading...

The 100+ degrees this summer!  All of this rain has kept us cool but it's starting!  My run yesterday was a beating.

What I'm working on...

Losing weight...hence the running yesterday.  Trying to eat healthy, trying to exercise.  Doing my Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 DVD.

What I'm excited about...

Hanging out with Cassie from Sage this weekend!  Woo hoo!  She's in town for a few more days and we have fun stuff planned!  We actually met for lunch today and totally forgot to take a photo. #bloggerfail

What I'm watching...

Ugh.  Too many shows now that we have Netflix, the Roku AND TV!  And I wonder why I can't ever finish a season!

What I'm listening to...

What I'm wearing...

I haven't taken any fun outfit photos lately, BUT I did just order this Kendra Scott Kiri Necklace in Yellow because it's on sale for $30!  I'm excited to get it!  I've really been wanting yellow!

What I'm doing this weekend...

Once again, hanging out with Cassie!  We have random stuff planned...mexican food, Fredericksburg, a farmers market, grilling/pooling (I've decided that pool is a verb so go with it)!

What I'm looking forward to next month...

SO...Kevin and I are going on a mission trip to Honduras with our church in July!  We'll be visiting an orphanage that has 600 orphans.  I guarantee you I'm going to want to bring one, two or all of them home with me!

What else is new...

This is random, but I found this photo at my grandparents' house this last weekend of me as a baby and my parents. I had never seen it before!  I don't have many of these since they are now divorced so it's special.  They look so young!

I hope you lovelies are having a wonderful week!  We're going to be out and about tomorrow...I'm taking off work to hang out with Cassie, so I won't be posting.  One meaty post for the week! Ha!

Summer Essentials | Our Yard

We're full into summer and on the days that it's not raining here in San Antonio, we've been enjoying our backyard.  We rent a guy's guest house on his 5 acre property with a pool, a ton of beautiful Oak trees and currently a little river in the back. Ha!  It's actually a dry creek bed, but because of some hard rain lately, it's flowing.

We've been loving grilling out and swimming in the pool.  It's so relaxing to float around the pool with a drink in hand and hanging out with friends/family.

I've compiled a list of summer essentials!  We've found ourselves needing (wanting?) all of these items this summer.

Coleman Road Trip Grill LXE - Perfect for packing up and folding out wherever you need it!  Tailgating at a baseball game, down by the river, poolside.  We love grilling burgers, chicken kebobs, sausage (Earl Campbell's...yum!) and fajitas.

Hydro Flask - You guys know how much we love our Hydro Flask !  I have seriously neglected all of my other water bottles because I love mine so much.  It keeps your water cold for 24 hours - honestly, even longer I think!  Love it!

Corkcicle Chillsner Beer Chillers - Kevin recently bought these and they're awesome!  They keep your beer colder for a long time.  I need this if I'm drinking a beer because I tend to milk it. Ha!

Vino2Go Wine Tumbler - You know me and my wine!  These "adult sippy cups" are perfect for the pool so you don't spill.

Yeti Cooler - Y'all...we have been wanting one of these coolers so badly!  They keep things cold for days!  We'll finally make the plunge and get one soon I'm sure.

Pool Float - This is a must.  I prefer to lounge around in a float, half in, half out of the water while chatting with my friends.

Parachute Double Hammock - With all of our great Oak trees in the yard, we HAD to buy a hammock.  This parachute kind feels so comfy!  Talk about relaxing!

And just for are a few shots of our backyard!

I usually sit outside by the pool and watch the deer come out at about 7pm.  I sound like such an old lady don't I?!  It's awesome!

May Favorites | Hello from Utah!

Howdy, from Utah!!!

I'm half-way through my training up here in the mountains.  I'll admit, it's pretty boring, but it's beautiful up here.  I've been able to hike some and stare at the gorgeous mountains.

world's tiniest snowman at the request of my husband

Ok!  Onto the Monthly Favorites Link-up!  Today, Mia and I are sharing some of our random favorites from the month of May and we hope you're joining us.  Feel free to write about whatever you like.  We do this every first Wednesday of the month.

So I usually use witch hazel and coconut oil to clean my face and remove makeup, but when I'm in a hurry or traveling (like right now), I take these handy dandy Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes with me. I've been using them a lot lately.  Love them!

I think I posted about this Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 back when I got it, but I finally started doing it and OH MY GOODNESS, I was sore for a week straight after the first workout.  Jillian kicks my butt!

Now it's your turn!  Link up your monthly favorites post below.  It'll stay open until the end of June.
