Things I Do Differently Since Becoming A Blogger

Since becoming a blogger, I guarantee you think of many things quite differently.  Tell me you don't identify with at least one of these.

1 // Take a picture of practically everything I'm doing...just in case it's blog-worthy.

2 // Notice the name of EVERY nail polish I use, see or read about AND remember it.

3 // Think way too much about fashion and purchase too much clothing online just because another blogger looks super cute in it and duh, it's on sale!

4 // Give my phone number to people I met ON THE INTERNET.

5 // Grab my phone the second I think of a good blog post idea and put it in the notes.

6 // Purchase something that I don't really need.  I justify it knowing, in the back of my mind, that I can blog about it later.

7 // Comment on more blogs in a day than I read in my entire life before becoming a blogger.

8 // Visit someone in another state by myself that I met online 11 months before.

9 // Get all of my fashion advice from some women that I've never met.

10 // Actually think about the lighting in my photos.

11 // Actually use Twitter.

12 // Allow someone I don't know to follow me on Instagram.

13 // Take photos of my food!

14 // Know what the Pantone color of the year is.

15 // Realize that bloggers are obsessed with coffee.

16 // PicMonkey everything!

17 //  Consider a friend that I had never met in person one of my best friends.

18 // Actually know a thing or two about makeup.

19 // When thinking about traveling to another city, think "which of my blogging friends live the closest?!"

20 // Realize how much time I spend blogging, but can't imagine my life without it!

Did any of these resonate with you?  Surely I'm not the only one!

  10. OMG YES! The phone number one kills me. I remember the first time I gave my # to a blogging friend my husband lost his ish! He was like "what in God's name are you doing?" Just imagine his response the first time I MET a blogging person in real life. "Okay, have fun getting murdered and chopped into a million pieces." Oh blogging. Such a weird and wonderful thing!

  11. This is so hilariously accurate. I laughed outloud when I read the part about giving my telephone number to strangers from the internet.

  13. I thought I already commented, but shoot, I don't see it yet, so you can enjoy my mindless drivel more! I know that I am old now that I make my blog post ideas in a notebook, not my phone. :) And, yes, when I travel I'm always wondering what blogger lives there and maybe we can meet IRL!

    1. Oh Katy, I hear ya! I have a running list in my paper planner as well. :) I was just sitting by the pool the other day and only had my phone so I started a list in the notes section. I normally don't trust technology to not lose my ideas! And yes, if I'm ever in the Midwest, I'll let you know!

  15. 1, 5, and 13 for sure. I actually tried to sneak a picture of my dinner the other day before by husband walked in the door. I didn't make it. He just rolled his eyes, looked at our daughter, and said, "Mommy's taking pictures of her food again."
